electRa M3 is a Windows™-based insurance broking system evolved from the highly successful electRa product. electRa M3 incorporates and graphically represents all the functionality of the proven electRa system on a Windows™ desktop, offering you a modern, cost effective solution for both personal and commercial lines handling.

M3 provides you with the best of both worlds, delivering all the
features, functionality and look-and-feel of a Windows™
system, combined with the proven power, scalability and stability
of a UNIX platform for the application server. The system will
also be made available on Windows™ server platforms and
for a variety of databases in the future.
By using a mouse, menu buttons and drop-down picklists, navigation around the various parts of the system is easy and does not require function keys or key pressing. The on-screen help facility and pop-up user guides ensure that whatever your level of competency, you are never out of your depth.
Quotations
electRa M3 is the ideal solution for both personal and commercial lines. It has fully integrated and guaranteed market-leading quotation modules for Private Motor, Household, Commercial Vehicles and Motorcycles, incorporating the Polaris Run-Time Environment where appropriate. electRa M3 has commercial quotation facilities via our Gilt Edge product to facilitate easy administration of small packaged commercial lines risks.
EDI
electRa M3 gives you the option to include various EDI modules for a number of classes of insurance, from New Business only, which includes printed documentation at point-of-sale, to Full-Cycle EDI and incorporates the electronic transmission of Mid-Term Adjustments and Renewals.
Proposal forms and cover notes are printed on plain paper, using data collected during the quotation process. Continuation cover notes are produced at the click of a mouse or in a batch. Messages are sent electronically to insurers, reducing turnaround times and paper flow.
The many benefits of this facility include improved customer service, easier administration, greater security and increased reporting capabilities with individual or multiple insurer reports printed instantly.
Many
insurers will now only deal with you if you have EDI capability.
Currently there are 36 Full-Cycle EDI insurers on our private
motor car panel, 20 commercial vehicle, 7 motorcycle and 8 household.
Internet and E-Mail
electRa M3 will incorporate multiple Internet and e-mail components, providing you with access to limitless information and new channels of communication.
Customising
electRa M3 incorporates a Housekeeping module, enabling your designated personnel to set up codes, actions, dates, instalment plans, insurer and agency details and commission levels. This enables you to tailor the system to your own requirements.
Individual members of your staff can also be allocated with a unique identifier and password, and given different levels of access to the system. This heightens security and provides a full process audit trail on each client record.
Administration
The client record is at the heart of the electRa M3 system, allowing you access to all the policies held by any given customer and the recording of other lifestyle and organisational information. Policy records can provide you with a complete on-screen picture of the status of any given piece of business through powerful and highly visual links into the Accounting, Task Management and Word Processing modules. Using the policy record as your base, actions can be diarised, events logged, accounts entries made and documents produced without you having to navigate tedious menus.
electRa M3 incorporates an advanced Task Management module, which enables the virtual automation of many of the routine business processes in your office. User definable action lists can be set up and then triggered, based upon the type of business or transaction. An action list can be a simple single step, such as the generation of a letter after a pre-set period, or a more complicated sequence of multiple actions involving documentation, to both clients and insurers, report generation and reminders to members of your staff. Furthermore, by running a simple batch process all actions diarised for a given period can be automatically triggered if required.
The powerful database within electRa M3 allows for the set up and maintenance of branches on a single database and subsequently the option to attach a branch to a quote/policy. Your account managers and account handlers can be maintained, providing you with the option to attach an account manager to a client and the option to attach an account handler to a quote/policy.
It is also possible for you to set up and maintain campaign codes and provide the option to attach a campaign code to a policy/quote.
The
comprehensive Event Log retains details to provide clarity in
displaying history of quotable risk and all previous diary actions,
providing a full history of each client or policy, which facilitates
professional handling and an efficient service to your customers.
Optionally, the user may wish to maximise business efficiency by holding key elements of incoming correspondence in the client or policy record by scanning and allocation.
Reporting
electRa M3 incorporates a comprehensive management information function to produce an extensive range of reports and statistics, allowing you to produce reports on a range of data including business written and employee performance. Many of these are accessed via the seamless link to Microsoft Excel™, allowing you a great deal of flexibility if required, in data manipulation and presentation. The enhanced MS-Word integration and report selection criteria includes branch codes and the provision of reporting on account handler, account manager, and branch and campaign codes.
You also have the option to add Crystal Reporting, an industry-leading Windows™- based report writer that reads data directly from the electRa M3 database and provides even more comprehensive data manipulation tools and graphical representation of information.
Accounts
electRa M3 has a powerful, secure and easily-navigated accounts facility, assisting in complying with the currently published requirements of the FSA. It allows you to reconcile and make payments to insurers, bank client receipts and identify commission charges, make payments to non-insurer suppliers, produce reports and management information, make premium transactions through client policy files, create supplier and sub-agent accounts, and view historic transactions.
The latest functionality allows branch selection on bank client receipts, the ability to produce client statements individually or in a batch and also the ability to produce a debit note/invoice at policy creation and MTA.
Premium Finance
Following the success of Full-Cycle EDI, electRa M3 now has an integrated Premium Finance facility, which supports a range of insurance policies with a number of Premium Finance providers; currently Amber Credit, Close Premium Finance, Finsure, Premium Credit and Singer & Friedlander Insurance Finance.
The facility is easy to use and is a simple solution for your customers who want to pay by Direct Debit.
MS Office™ Integration
In addition to links with Microsoft Excel™ for reporting, electRa M3 has a seamless link to Microsoft Word™, the worldwide industry-standard word processing package. This enables letters and documents to be produced to a high standard, with the use of logos, graphics and colour.
A wide range of fields from the electRa M3 database can be inserted into these documents, including client, policy and accounts information.
Rapid Addressing
This
optional facility provides you with the ability to capture full
address details from a customer's postcode. Upon entry of a validated
postcode, the system presents the address to street level, or
a picklist of streets to which that postcode may apply. Data is
then automatically incorporated into the quotation or policy record
without the need to be re-keyed at any future point.
The module uses the highly accurate Royal Mail Postcode Address file in conjunction with AFD, with two levels available - Street Level or Premise Level.
Credit and Debit Card Handling
Credit and Debit Card software is another optional facility offering an effective point-of-sale process for the authorisation and subsequent transmission of credit and debit card transactions at specially negotiated Merchant Fees, enabling payments to be taken over the phone.
The authorisation and transmission is via HSBC Bank, with the module integrated into electRa M3 - eliminating the need to buy or rent hardware such as swipe machines. Authorisation is initiated to HSBC's Credit Clearing Centre, with funds transferred directly from the Bank into your account.
